An Action United States Congress (AC) member in Ekiti State House of Assembly, Mr. Prince Edward Ajewole Ashaolu have vowed that the House will thwart any move by the state governor, Engr Segun Oni to relocate College of Education from Ikere to Ifaki Ekiti, saying resettlement of the college to governor Oni's hometown is not supported by any logic of reasoning.

Ashaolu, who is representing Ekiti South Occident 1, in the state House of Asembly said Engr Oni have failed to warrant grounds why the college should be relocated to his place town

The lawmaker argued that Ido/Osi Local Government where the governor acclaims from already have many schools and Institutions, including the Federal Soldier Soldier Checkup Centre, Ido Ekiti and the Federal Technical College Ushi Ekiti.

According to him, "considering the distance from Ikere to Bustle Ekiti on one manus and Bustle Ekiti to Ifaki Ekiti, they are too fold to each other, they are not more than than 10 kilometres to each other, it is better to travel the college to another town within the North Senatorial District of the state rather than concentrating all the schools and establishments in one peculiar local government

'If the college is moved to Ifaki, it means, the workers there would be residing in Bustle Ekiti, therefore Bustle Ekiti would be too congested, since bulk of workers in Ikere are equally residing in Bustle Ekiti.

'After all, we still have got four other local authorities within the same Northern Senatorial territory of the state that are longing for such as as a college , it could be moved to either Otun or Ikole or any other town, but definitely not Ifaki.

"There is no manner the measure for the resettlement of the college to Ifaki could scale through in the House, liter can guarantee you, if such a measure is passed , it would intend an unfairness to other local authorities in the area, and that would be too unfair, he submitted.

Speaking on the stewardship programme organised by Alawe - in- Council for all the elective representatives in his local authorities , Ashaolu regretted that he was the lone political appointee that attended the meeting.
